Taking referrals from early 2027
Braided Clinic plans to open its referral pathway to GPs, psychiatrists, and other treating clinicians in early 2027. Details will be published before it opens.

The
pathway
The planned clinical hand-off from referral to review.
Step 01
Send through an established clinical system
When the pathway opens, clinicians will use the published HealthLink or Specialist Referrals details. Patient information should not be sent before then.
Step 02
It arrives in Elixir
The referral will enter the clinic’s practice management and clinical record system. Braided will not ask the referrer to duplicate the same clinical information in a public form.
Step 03
The practice reviews and responds
The clinical team will review the referral in Elixir, contact the referrer if anything further is needed, and confirm the next step.
For this pathway
- This planned pathway is for the wider specialist psychiatry practice. It is not a route to request an unapproved medicine.
- The person knows about the referral and agrees to their information being shared with Braided.
- Once referrals open, patient and clinical information is sent through the published clinical channel, not ordinary email.
- The referral will be held in Elixir as part of the clinic’s clinical record; it will not be duplicated through a Braided public form.
- A referral begins clinical review. It does not confirm suitability or promise a particular treatment.
